‘Good Bandits’: Park Bo-gum Leads an All-Star Cast in JTBC’s Action-Comedy Drama
JTBC, also known as Joongang Tongyang Broadcasting Company, has dropped the third teaser for its highly anticipated Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Good Boy’, officially titled ‘Good Bandits’ for its international release. The series stars a powerful ensemble including Park Bo-gum, Kim So-hyun, Lee Sang-yi, Huh Sung-tae, and Tae Won-seok.
‘Good Bandits’ is a unique comic-action, youth-investigative drama that follows a motley crew of Olympic medalists who are specially recruited into the police force. With their medals traded for badge numbers, these unconventional heroes unite to challenge corruption and injustice with heart, humor, and a few punches.
Directed by Shim Na-yeon, known for ‘Monster’ and ‘Bad Mom’, and written by Lee Dae-il of ‘Life on Mars’ and ‘Chief of Staff’ fame, the teaser showcases the action-packed formation of this elite squad. The team is led by Huh Sung-tae as Go Man-sik, a bronze-medalist wrestler who becomes the glue helping to form this powerful unit.
Team members include Lee Sang-yi as fencing silver medalist Kim Jong-hyun, Tae Won-seok as discus bronze medalist Shin Jae-hong, Kim So-hyun as shooting gold medalist Ji Han-na, and Park Bo-gum as boxing gold medalist Yoon Dong-ju. While initially awkward, their chemistry and determination hint at a refreshingly heartfelt dynamic.
The teaser ends with the appearance of a shadowy figure, setting the stage for high-stakes battles to come. According to producers at SLL, Studio&New, and Drama House Studio, the drama promises a satisfying blend of romance, comedy, action, and suspense.
‘Good Boy’ will premiere globally on Amazon Prime Video starting Saturday, May 31, at 10:40 PM KST, following its initial broadcast on JTBC in South Korea.
