According to Good Data Corporation, ‘Resident Playbook’ ranked first in TV-OTT Drama Buzz for the first week of May (April 28 – May 4), marking its third consecutive week at the top.

Premiering on April 12, ‘Resident Playbook’ follows the journey of young residents aspiring to become competent doctors, portraying their dreams, struggles, and relationships. The main cast includes Go Youn-jung, Shin Sia, Kang You-seok, Han Ye-ji, and Jung Jun-won.

Notably, Go Youn-jung topped the drama cast buzz chart, further cementing her status as one of Korea’s most talked-about emerging actresses. She has maintained this position for three consecutive weeks, showcasing her growing popularity along with the drama’s success.

The show’s appeal continues to rise: Episode 8, aired on May 4, achieved a nationwide cable rating of 6.0% according to Nielsen Korea, setting a new personal best. Viewers are praising the drama’s storytelling and emotional depth, reflecting its escalating viewer engagement each week.

Meanwhile, Netflix’s ‘Weak Hero Class 2’ ranked second in overall drama buzz, with Genie TV’s ‘Private 3’, JTBC’s ‘More Beautiful Than Heaven’, and SBS’s ‘Spiritwalker’ following closely. The cast of ‘Weak Hero Class 2’, including Park Ji-hoon, Lya Woon, Choi Hyun-wook, and Lee Jun-young, also showed strong performance in individual buzz rankings.
