Girl’s Day’s Hyeri Faces Illegal Ticket Resale Ahead of 15th Anniversary Fan Meeting
South Korean actress and former Girl’s Day member Hyeri is set to host her first-ever solo fan meeting this June, but the excitement has been marred by an investigation into illegal ticket reselling practices.
On May 24, the event organizer Set The Stage (unofficial English name) issued a formal announcement stating that an internal investigation into suspicious ticket purchases had been concluded. “We have completed the review of ticket reservations made via abnormal channels or purchased through illegitimate means,” the statement said. “Individuals identified through this process have been contacted via email and asked to provide explanations by 6 PM on May 29.”
The organizer added that any ticket holder failing to respond within the deadline or those unreachable due to invalid contact details, as well as those unable to provide sufficient justification, will have their tickets automatically canceled without refund.
Hyeri’s fan meeting, titled ‘2025 Hyeri Fan Meeting Tour: Welcome to Hyeri’s Studio in Seoul’, will take place on June 7 at Samsung Hall at Ewha Womans University. The event commemorates her 15th anniversary in the entertainment industry. Tickets for both shows sold out within a minute of opening on May 14, which initially thrilled fans and Hyeri alike — until illegal transactions emerged.
Hyeri’s label, SUBLIME (unofficial English name), also issued a stern warning: “Tickets acquired without going through the official booking platform—whether through private exchanges, resale markets, or online trading sites—are ineligible for refunds and may be canceled without notice at the discretion of the organizers.” They emphasized that all suspicious transactions will continue to be monitored actively.
Reacting to the situation, Hyeri expressed her dismay: “At first, I was genuinely happy to hear that the fan meeting sold out in just one minute,” she wrote on her social media. “But after realizing so many tickets were bought illegally and resold, I was shocked and saddened. I’m truly sorry to my fans.”
