FTISLAND’s Minhwan Choi Returns to the Stage
Minhwan Choi Joins FTISLAND for ‘MAD HAPPY’ Concert in Seoul
FTISLAND’s Minhwan Choi: Making a Triumphant Return
FTISLAND’s drummer Minhwan Choi is set to make his much-anticipated return to the stage after a hiatus from performing in South Korea. According to the band’s agency, FNC Entertainment, Minhwan will join band members Hongki Lee and Jaejin Lee for the ‘2025 FTISLAND LIVE ‘MAD HAPPY’’ concert on August 23 and 24 at Blue Square SOL Travel Hall in Seoul.
> The concert marks Minhwan’s first domestic performance with FTISLAND in a year, and fans are eagerly awaiting the trio’s reunion.
Background of the Hiatus
Minhwan’s temporary departure from the band was due to personal controversies involving his ex-wife, former LABOUM member Yulhee. In October last year, Yulhee publicly accused Minhwan of serious allegations, but he was ultimately cleared of charges by police owing to insufficient evidence.
International Activities
Despite the domestic hiatus, Minhwan stayed active internationally. Since March, he has participated in FTISLAND’s Japan tour, signaling his gradual comeback. The ‘MAD HAPPY’ concert is seen as a significant step in Minhwan’s full return to the Korean music scene.
