Forestella’s Ko Woorim Announces Livestream to Celebrate Military Discharge
Ko Woorim of the Korean crossover group Forestella is set to reunite with fans through a special livestream, shortly after completing his military service. On June 17, Forestella’s official Instagram account announced an upcoming live broadcast with the message “WELCOME BACK KO WOORIM.” The livestream is scheduled for June 19 at 8 PM KST.
Ko Woorim began his mandatory service as an active-duty soldier in the South Korean army on November 20, 2023, serving as a military band member. Now wrapping up his duties, he will be discharged on June 19 and is expected to immediately resume group activities alongside his fellow Forestella members.
This return marks not just a personal milestone but also signals the full comeback of Forestella as a complete group. Earlier in January, Ko Woorim’s agency, Beat Interactive, had shared a heartfelt New Year message from him. “I’ll be discharged this year. I look forward to reuniting with Forestella as a whole and making our comeback as soon as possible,” the message read, raising anticipation among fans.
Aside from his musical career, Ko Woorim is also known for his high-profile marriage to Olympic figure skating legend Kim Yuna. The couple tied the knot in October 2022. Their relationship began after meeting at the All That Skate Ice Show in 2018, and they dated for nearly three years before getting married.
With Ko Woorim’s return from military service, fans are eagerly awaiting what’s next for Forestella and its members. The upcoming livestream promises to be a heartfelt moment marking the start of a new chapter for both him and the group.
