Fitness Meets Romance in ‘24 Hours Health Club’ Starring Lee Jun-young and Jung Eun-ji

KBS 2TV’s 24 Hours Health Club blends gym life with heartbreak starring Lee Jun young and Jung Eun ji

KBS 2TV has unveiled a compelling highlight reel for its upcoming drama, 24 Hours Health Club, giving viewers a glimpse of the comedy, romance, and raw physical transformation that lie ahead. The drama, premiering on April 30, follows the unconventional chemistry between a dedicated gym trainer and his heartbroken client as they navigate identity, healing, and attraction under the same sweaty roof.

At the heart of the drama is Mi-ran (played by Jung Eun-ji), a food-loving romantic who faces heartbreak after being dumped by her boyfriend, Jun-seok. In an emotional daze, she finds herself at what she believes is a dance club, only to discover it’s a 24-hour gym run by the hyper-driven, muscle-obsessed Do Hyun-jung (played by Lee Jun-young).

The highlight video opens with Mi-ran’s teary breakup scene and quickly transitions into the unexpected turn her life takes at the gym. Hyun-jung, who lives and breathes fitness, cheekily recruits Mi-ran by declaring, “This is a club, alright. A hellish club for fat—open 24/7.”

Hyun-jung’s relentless pursuit of gains—both physical and emotional—is introduced with humor as he’s seen devouring protein-rich dishes and flexing as if he’s in his element. Once a scrawny boy overlooked by many, Hyun-jung rose to become a legendary bodybuilder and now owns an old-school gym he never expected to manage.

As Mi-ran begins her emotional healing through a grueling workout regime, sparks start to fly. Hyun-jung, who firmly believes the gym is no place for personal emotions, starts feeling unexpected beats of affection for his determined trainee. Their growing closeness is symbolized by a romantically charged moment right before their first kiss—a pulse-pounding scene sure to draw in viewers.

Hyun-jung’s dead-serious gym policy, “No personal feelings beyond workouts,” begins to crumble as he delivers the cheeky line to Mi-ran, “There’s a callus in here,” while pointing to his chest. This tension between professional boundaries and personal feelings sets the stage for a unique rom-com experience with muscle-packed charm.
