EXO’s KAI Makes Powerful Comeback with 4th Mini Album ‘Wait On Me’

Global K-pop sensation KAI from EXO makes his highly-anticipated return on June 21 with the release of his fourth mini album ‘Wait On Me’. The album drops simultaneously at 6 PM (KST) on major global streaming platforms including MelOn, Flo, Genie, iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, QQ Music, and Kugou Music.

The title track, ‘Wait On Me’, is a compelling pop tune infused with Afrobeats rhythm. Showcasing a restrained groove by percussive elements and an emotional build-up with synthetically layered strings, the song beautifully illustrates the serene act of patient waiting and the unfolding of emotion over time.

Accompanying the track is a visually arresting music video, released via SMTOWN’s official YouTube channel, which metaphorically represents the concept of ‘waiting’ through a solar eclipse motif. With intuitive choreography referencing the theme of “Wait” and an explosive dance break, KAI delivers a performance that elevates expectations.

This mini album includes a total of seven tracks. In addition to the title song, fans can enjoy the pre-released buzzworthy track ‘Adult Swim’, along with ‘Walls Don’t Talk’, ‘Pressure’, ‘Ridin’, ‘Off and Away’, and ‘Flight to Paris’, encompassing a range of sonic facets of KAI’s artistry.

To celebrate the release, KAI hosted a special live showcase at the Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul at 8 PM (KST), which was simultaneously streamed on EXO’s official YouTube channel. During the event, he performed ‘Wait On Me’ live for the first time and shared behind-the-scenes stories related to the album, connecting closely with fans worldwide.
