ENHYPEN Returns With a Darker Desire in New Mini Album ‘DESIRE : UNLEASH’

Kpop boy group ENHYPEN unveils dark romantic themes in new mini album DESIRE UNLEASH

Global K-pop powerhouse ENHYPEN — comprised of members Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki — is back with their sixth mini album DESIRE : UNLEASH, dropping July 5 at 1 PM KST/12 AM EST. The group officially unveiled the album’s full tracklist on June 22 via their social channels, fascinating fans with a powerful new concept rooted in obsessive love and temptation.

The eight-track album is headlined by the title song ‘Bad Desire (With or Without You)’, which dives deep into the longing to transform a lover into a vampire, symbolizing a dominating and consuming desire. Lyrically provocative and emotionally intense, the song serves as the centerpiece for an album steeped in dark romance, further spotlighting ENHYPEN’s unique edge and fierce charisma.

Renowned producer Cirkut, known for his previous hits with ENHYPEN such as ‘Bite Me’ and ‘Brought The Heat Back’, collaborates once more, signaling another breakout hit in the making. An English version of the title track, boasting direct and sensual lyrics, will also be included to cater to their global fanbase.

The project opens with ‘Flashover’, a track symbolizing love as an uncontrollable blaze triggered by intensifying desire. Meanwhile, ‘Outside’ explores the obsessive yearning to mold a partner into a reflection of oneself — an audacious theme partially brought to life by an upcoming rookie from BigHit Music who contributed to both songwriting and production.

Also featured is ‘Loose’ — previously released in April — celebrated for its sultry emotion and exploring the tension in fragile feelings. Both the Korean and original versions of the song are part of the album lineup.

‘Helium’, the fifth track, compares the exhilaration of love to inhaling helium, highlighting ENHYPEN’s creative breadth. Member Jay steps into the spotlight for this track, taking charge of lyrics, guitar performance, and overall production.

Rounding out the album is ‘Too Close’, a track that expresses the electrifying anxiety of emotional and physical proximity overpowering rational thought.

Before the official release, ENHYPEN will drop an album preview video on June 23, giving fans a glimpse into the powerful sonic and visual narratives of DESIRE : UNLEASH. As anticipation builds, the world braces for another mesmerising comeback from one of K-pop’s most immersive groups.
