E Channel, a flagship channel of Tcast, is leading the way in media commerce with its innovative approach to original content IP. Launching in the first half of 2025, the highly anticipated variety show ‘Ryu Student’s Cooking Adventures’ is set to captivate audiences.
A Unique Blend of Travel, Cooking, and Commerce
Ryu Student’s Cooking Adventures features actors Ryu Soo-young, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Kihyun from MONSTA X as they explore various global cuisines. This show goes beyond traditional travel and cooking genres by reinterpreting international recipes with a Korean twist and linking them to product development, creating a seamless cycle of content, merchandise, and experiences.
Innovative Media Experience and Merchandise
E Channel plans to showcase a fresh, story-based media experience by smoothly incorporating food, travel, and lifestyle aspects into the program. Merchandise associated with the food, kitchen tools, and style of the cast will be developed, bridging broadcast and digital platforms to integrate viewing and purchasing.
– Youtube Store Initiative: Diverse merchandise such as aprons, t-shirts, caps, and kitchen towels branded with Ryu Student’s world are now available.

Pop-up Store Tours Across South Korea
Experiential pop-up store tours branded as ‘Ryu Student’s Cuisine Tour’ offer viewers the chance to indulge in national dishes from countries featured in the show. Starting on May 31st at The Hyundai Seoul with a Portuguese theme, followed by a Brunei concept at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo on June 21st, and ending with a Sicilian theme on July 12th.
Expanding Commerce Platform with ShoppingNT
Moreover, Tcast is expanding its commerce platform reach by integrating with its T-Commerce channel, ShoppingNT. Future plans include showcasing popular program products and collaborative brands across mobile app promotions, merging live content consumption with retail models.
