Disney+’s Thriller ‘Hunter with a Scalpel’ Set for June Premiere After Canneseries Spotlight
Disney+ has locked in the premiere date of its highly anticipated original series Hunter with a Scalpel, following its official invitation to the 8th Cannes International Series Festival under the Canneseries Rendez-vous Section. The crime-psychological thriller will debut globally on June 16, captivating subscribers with a twisted narrative about family, murder, and redemption.
Hunter with a Scalpel follows the chilling descent of Sae-hyun, a brilliant forensic pathologist who stumbles upon clues during an autopsy revealing that her estranged father, believed to be dead, may be responsible for a string of murders. Embarking on a dangerous mission to capture him before the police do, she is driven by the need to erase the dark past tying them together.
Park Ju Hyun leads the series as Sae-hyun, unraveling a potent and psychologically complex character who balances on the edge of good and evil. Her performance promises intensity and emotional depth as she portrays a woman trapped in her own contradictions, searching for liberation through justice.
Park Yong Woo stars as Jo-kyun, Sae-hyun’s father, a cold-blooded serial killer with a twisted affection for his daughter.
