Daesung Kicks Off ‘D’s WAVE’ Solo Concert Series in Seoul with a Bang
DAESUNG, a beloved member of BIGBANG, successfully inaugurated his first solo concert in Korea, ‘DAESUNG 2025 ASIA TOUR: D’s WAVE IN SEOUL,’ held over two days, April 26 and 27, at the Olympic Park Olympic Hall in Seoul.
Setting the tone with his latest mini album’s title track ‘Universe,’ Daesung delivered a powerful opening. He also debuted live performances of new songs like ‘Last girl (with Han Yo-han)‘ and ‘JUMP,’ igniting an electric atmosphere from the start.
Fans were then treated to emotionally charged performances of hits like ‘Falling Slowly,’ ‘빛,’ ‘웃어본다,’ and ‘Baby Don’t Cry.’ Furthermore, Daesung celebrated his Japanese fan base by performing popular tracks from his Japan promotions, such as ‘歌うたいのバラッド,’ ‘Rainy Rainy,’ and ‘Dress.’
The surprise guest appearances added an extra level of excitement. On the 26th, fellow BIGBANG member TAEYANG joined onstage, while on the 27th, G-DRAGON also appeared, creating a rare full-unit stage with Daesung. The trio performed unforgettable tracks like ‘HOME SWEET HOME,’ ‘뱅뱅뱅,’ and ‘맨정신,’ sparking nostalgic cheers.
Marking his first-ever solo concert in Korea, Daesung showcased his upgraded musicality and undeniable stage presence. From the high-caliber live vocals to heartfelt communications with fans and dazzling visuals, he reaffirmed his standing as an irreplaceable artist.
Wrapping up his Seoul concerts, Daesung shared a handwritten letter expressing his gratitude: ‘After a year of hard work releasing albums, performing, and broadcasting, it feels surreal to finally hold my own solo concert in Korea. Watching Taeyang’s show here last year fueled a dream that now has turned into reality.’
He added, ‘The journey wasn’t easy, but the unwavering support from my agency and fans helped build this unforgettable stage. I hope to continue creating more cherished memories together.’
Following the Seoul concerts, Daesung will continue his ‘D’s WAVE’ Asia Tour with performances scheduled in Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Hong Kong, Kobe, and Yokohama.
