CHUU Offers Warm Consolation to Youths in Dreamy Synth-Pop Album ‘Only Cry in the Rain’

K-pop sensation CHUU is back with her third mini album ‘Only Cry in the Rain’, released on April 21 at 6 PM KST through major online music platforms. Marking a comeback nearly 10 months after her last project ‘Strawberry Rush’, CHUU embarks on a deeply personal journey through memory and emotion in this highly anticipated EP.

With five new tracks—‘Only Cry in the Rain’, ‘Back in Town’, ‘Kiss a Kitty’, ‘Je t’aime’, and ‘No More’—the album reflects CHUU’s growing artistic identity through genre experimentation and her signature emotional vocal tone. Together, the tracks present a story of introspection, healing, and emotional growth.

The title song ‘Only Cry in the Rain’ stands out for its touching message: ‘On rainy days, it’s okay to be honest about your feelings.’ The track is a dreamy blend of new-wave and synth-pop, intertwined with CHUU’s melancholic yet comforting vocals. Rhythmic yet emotional, the song builds a unique sonic atmosphere that resonates with those navigating the emotional chaos of youth.

To celebrate her comeback, CHUU held a three-day private listening event from April 19 to 21 at Seongsu-dong Movieland, where fans were immersed in a concept-inspired space reminiscent of her music video mood board. The event deepened listeners’ emotional connection to the album and generated palpable excitement among fans.

CHUU’s return with ‘Only Cry in the Rain’ promises to solidify her standing as a solo artist to watch, combining delicate emotions with mature musical storytelling. The full album is now available for streaming on all major platforms.
