Chinese Fans Launch ‘Back to Seven Time’ Campaign to Celebrate Jungkook’s Military Discharge
As Jungkook of Bulletproof Boy Scouts (BTS) prepares for his military discharge on June 11, his Chinese fanbase ‘Jungkook China’ has launched a visually striking and large-scale support campaign titled ‘Back to Seven Time’ to celebrate his return.
The centerpiece of the tribute spans from June 9 to June 15 at Starfield COEX Mall in Seoul. A 100-meter-long LED billboard placed at the mall’s Signature Street becomes a glowing beacon of appreciation, playing continuous footage recapping Jungkook’s journey and achievements.
In addition, several outdoor C-Live billboards near the entrances of both Starfield COEX Mall and Parnas Mall have been taken over for discharge celebration ads. The campaign takes inspiration from 2023’s promotions for Jungkook’s debut solo single, ‘Seven’, and once again lights up key S-LIVE and C-Live displays with electrifying visuals and heartfelt messages.
‘Back to Seven Time’ is labeled as Part.1 of an ongoing celebration series by Jungkook China, leaving fans anticipating future events. This isn’t the first time Jungkook China has showcased their dedication. In November 2023, they installed a 20-meter-long display at the Airport Railroad Transfer Passageway at Hongdae Station on Seoul Subway Line 2, commemorating the first anniversary of Jungkook’s solo album ‘GOLDEN’.
Further amplifying their support, fans also sponsored large-scale video ads across screens at Yongsan I-Park Mall, Yeongdeungpo CGV, and Wangsimni CGV to promote Jungkook’s documentary film, ‘JUNG KOOK: I AM STILL’.
Even globally, Jungkook China has made an impact — in July 2023, they broadcast advertisements for ‘Seven’ for four full days on the massive TSX Broadway screen in New York’s Times Square, solidifying their reach and devotion.
Previously, to celebrate his birthday on September 1, the fan club held more than 19 themed events, showcasing not just heartfelt loyalty but immense financial muscle. Adding to his accolades, Jungkook has recently taken home six titles at China’s ‘Year-End Awards’, and was also honored as ‘Most Popular Asian Male Singer’ at the 38th China Huading Global Music Awards.
