On July 10th, at the Baekbeom Kim Gu Memorial Hall in Seoul, the 29th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) announced its distinguished guest for this year’s special actor retrospective: Lee Byung-hun. Under the title ‘The Master: Lee Byung-hun’, this year’s tribute will span over 8 nights and 9 days from July 4th to 13th, showcasing a selection of Lee’s most significant works.

– Screenings: A selection of 10 pivotal films including Joint Security Area (2000), A Bittersweet Life (2005), and The Man Standing Next (2019).
– Exhibitions: Rare photographs and personal memorabilia offering a glimpse into the life of the actor.
