BTS’s V Earns Praise for Selfless Acts and Excellence During Military Service
As BTS member V continues his mandatory military service in South Korea, heartwarming stories and impressive milestones from his time in uniform have begun to surface. According to a recent Instagram post from a fellow soldier, V has left a lasting impression not only as a global superstar, but also as a humble and devoted serviceman.
Serving in the Special Duty Team of Military Police, V reportedly pushed through personal injuries—including shoulder and thigh issues—yet still emerged as a top performer. His efforts earned him multiple accolades, including 1st place in marksmanship and winter city training, and ultimately a commendation as a model soldier.
The fellow soldier shared, “Despite his injuries, V placed first in various training events and earned the Model Soldier Award. Watching him perform with such dedication was truly inspiring.”
Furthermore, V demonstrated exceptional camaraderie and generosity. He donated fitness equipment to his unit and treated squad mates to high-quality meals such as eel sushi during his leaves. His willingness to invest in the well-being and morale of his fellow soldiers has drawn admiration from peers and fans alike.
In one of the shared photos, V is seen playfully bonding with his colleagues, reflecting how seamlessly he has adapted to military life. Since enlisting in December 2023, V has been recognized for excellence, having received an elite trainee award alongside fellow BTS member RM during their graduation ceremony at the Korea Army Training Center.
Other soldiers who served with V have taken to social media to share their stories, describing him as a caring and dependable presence—calling him a “problem-solver type of brother.” In March, it was revealed that V had also been selected as a ‘Special-Class Warrior,’ a title given to exemplary soldiers in South Korea’s military.
With his discharge date set for June 10, 2024, fans are already anticipating V’s return—not just as an artist but as a matured individual shaped by his meaningful military experience. His humility and character continue to cement his place in the hearts of both his teammates and ARMY worldwide.
