Multifaceted Support for Mental Health
The Min Yoongi Center is set to provide a range of support services including language, psychological, and behavioral therapies. It will also integrate clinical and research programs to foster the mental health of children and adolescents. This initiative is a continuation of SUGA’s collaboration with Professor Cheon Keun-ah, a prominent figure in the field of child psychiatry, to develop the ‘MIND’ program — a social group training initiative that combines musical content to aid in socialization.
SUGA’s Personal Commitment
Reflecting on his involvement, SUGA shared, “Through my 7-month collaboration with Professor Cheon, I have deeply realized how music can serve as a precious conduit for expressing emotions and connecting with the world. I am immensely grateful to have participated in the treatment journey of children with autism spectrum disorder and am committed to supporting even more children in becoming integral members of our society.”
A Call to Action
SUGA’s altruism has not only touched the hearts of his fans but has also fueled inquiries and donations from the broader community. In response, the Severance Medical Center has added a permanent item on its official website for ongoing contributions to the Min Yoongi Center.
