Danmee announced Jin’s victory through its official platforms, mentioning that Jin became a sensation in 2022 when he was appointed as a model for Korea’s food company OTOKI. In 2025, he was also tapped as a global model for the same product. The agency stated that Jin’s charm and humor make him a perfect fit for Japanese food commercials.
Feedback on the survey page was overwhelmingly positive, with comments such as, ‘Jin’s commercials for OTOKI look amazing,’ and ‘If Jin appears in a Japanese food commercial, I’ll buy a basket full!’ This reaction demonstrates his explosive popularity across borders.

Since Jin became the model for OTOKI in 2022, the company reported record-breaking ramen export figures. Analysts suggest that the growth of Korea’s ramen industry began with the box office success of the movie Parasite and BTS’s Jin’s impact as a commercial model.
