BTS’s Jimin Breaks Records with ‘MUSE’ Album Streaming on Spotify

Jimin sets new KPop record as MUSE album exceeds 28 billion Spotify streams globally

Jimin of global K-Pop sensation BTS continues to break barriers as his second solo album ‘MUSE’ achieves monumental success on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform.

The album has officially exceeded 2.8 billion streams, making it the first and only Korean-language solo album to hit this milestone. Among all K-Pop albums released in 2024, ‘MUSE’ stands out as the sole entry to achieve such significant global streaming figures.

At the heart of this streaming phenomenon is the album’s title track ‘Who’, which alone accounts for over 1.694 billion streams and is rapidly approaching the 1.7 billion mark. ‘Who’ also holds the record for the longest-charting K-Pop song on Billboard’s Hot 100, currently at 33 weeks.

Other standout tracks include fan-favorite ‘Closer Than This’ with 276.99 million streams, ‘Be Mine’ with 242.94 million, and ‘Smeraldo Garden Marching Band’ tallying 220.68 million. With four of its seven tracks surpassing over 200 million streams each, the album proves to be a global musical hit.

Additionally, ‘Slow Dance’ is on the verge of crossing the 100 million streaming threshold with 98.06 million plays. ‘Rebirth (Intro)’ and instrumental track ‘Interlude: Showtime’ have recorded 85.10 million and 70 million streams respectively. Every track on ‘MUSE’ has surpassed 70 million streams — a rare achievement in the K-Pop solo scene.

Beyond streaming, Jimin has also made history on the Billboard 200 chart, with ‘MUSE’ maintaining a presence for 34 weeks, setting a new record for the longest-charting K-Pop solo album in the chart’s history.

Currently completing his military service, Jimin is expected to be discharged on June 11, intensifying anticipation for his return to the global music scene.
