BTS’s Jimin and Jungkook Dominate 2025 BMI Pop Awards with Solo Hits
BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan, “Bulletproof Boy Scouts” or “Beyond The Scene”) members Jimin and Jungkook continue to assert their global dominance with outstanding solo achievements. According to the recently announced list of winners for the 2025 BMI Pop Awards, both artists had two of their solo tracks selected as ‘Most Performed Songs of the Year’.
Jimin’s ‘Like Crazy’ from his debut solo album ‘FACE’ and ‘Who’ from his sophomore album ‘MUSE’, alongside Jungkook’s ‘3D (feat. Jack Harlow)’ and ‘Standing Next to You’ from his solo album ‘GOLDEN’, were honored as some of the most played songs of the year across U.S. radio, TV, live performances, and digital platforms.
The Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), which has hosted the BMI Pop Awards since 1939, annually celebrates the top 50 most-performed pop songs. This year, an exceptional total of 51 songs were selected, and both Jimin and Jungkook had two entries each, marking a milestone for Korean solo pop acts in the U.S. market.
Jimin made history when ‘Like Crazy’ debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April 2023 — the first solo track by a K-pop act to top the chart. He reinforced his solo presence with ‘Who’, which stayed on the Hot 100 for an impressive 33 weeks, making him the longest-charting K-pop soloist in history.
Jungkook’s momentum hasn’t slowed either. After being recognized for ‘Left and Right (feat. Jung Kook of BTS)’ with Charlie Puth in 2023, and ‘Seven (feat. Latto)’ in 2024, he now scores back-to-back success with ‘3D’ and ‘Standing Next to You’. Both tracks not only received critical acclaim but also penetrated the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, showcasing his wide appeal and popularity among a global audience.
With their continued success, both Jimin and Jungkook underscore the global influence of BTS members as solo artists. Their ability to command global charts and win major Western music accolades solidifies K-pop’s enduring presence in the international music scene.
