BTS Star Jin Tops K-POP Charts and Dominates Variety TV
BTS (Beyond the Scene) member Jin has once again proven his overwhelming popularity by achieving the top spot in the weekly rankings on the Korean fan voting platform MY1PICK. During the week of April 13 to April 20, Jin secured a remarkable total of over 10.7 million votes in the K-POP individual category, maintaining his position as number one.
Jin’s reign at the top continues for an impressive 60 consecutive weeks, extending from the fifth week of February last year to the third week of April this year. His dominance reflects the unwavering support from his fans and his standout presence in K-POP.
Besides leading in the weekly votes, Jin also topped various other categories within the MY1PICK platform. Notably, Jin received a cumulative total of over 28.4 million votes in March, winning the monthly K-POP individual chart for 15 consecutive months. He was also named the most beloved star across all generations in a themed fan vote.
In addition to his chart success, Jin secured the first position in the K-POP (Solo) category on the March monthly chart of the OnePick ranking, earning him a special digital billboard advertisement. This reward ad was displayed for five days from April 24 to 28 on the Mercedes-Benz Building in Dosan-daero, Seoul.
Beyond music, Jin recently appeared on the Netflix original variety series “대환장 기안장”, which first aired on April 8. Teaming up with Korean media personalities, Jin showcased a fun and warm chemistry, especially with fellow castmates. His versatility and charming, down-to-earth persona left a lasting impression on global audiences.
As a multi-talented “all-rounder employee,” Jin surprised viewers with his creativity, sincerity, and hands-on skills on the reality show. His presence made such a strong impact that he ranked No.1 in media buzz among TV-OTT non-drama show guests, according to Korea’s Good Data Corporation FUNdex report for the third week of April.
Following the release of episodes 7 through 9 on April 22, the show wrapped up its first season, sparking high anticipation for a second season under the concept “이멤버 リ멤버”.
Fans can also look forward to Jin’s return to music on May 16 at 1PM KST with the release of his second mini album entitled “Echo”. With this comeback, Jin is set to showcase his artistic evolution and reconnect with his audience as a solo performer.
