Historic Achievements
* With this award, RM becomes the only K-pop artist to receive trophies both as a group and as a solo artist at the AMAs.
* BTS previously dominated the 2021 AMAs, securing titles such as ‘Artist of the Year’, ‘Favorite Pop Duo/Group’, and ‘Favorite Pop Song’.
* In 2022, BTS won again in the ‘Favorite Pop Duo or Group’ and ‘Favorite K-Pop Artist’ categories.
Critical Acclaim for RM’s Solo Work
RM’s second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person, released in May last year, received widespread acclaim from both the public and critics. This album was highlighted as one of the ‘Best Albums of 2024’ by well-known media outlets like Billboard, Rolling Stone, and NME. Several tracks from the album were also listed as ‘Best Songs of 2024’.
The album’s title track, LOST!*, garnered attention for its artistic and unique qualities.
* The British music magazine NME described the album as a “beautiful and intriguing artistic piece,” granting it a perfect score.
The LOST!* music video recently swept three categories at the 2025 Shark Music Video Awards, including ‘Best Music Video’, ‘Best R&B / Soul Video’, and ‘Best Direction’. Prior to this, the video had won multiple awards at the UK Music Video Awards, Sisslop Festival in Germany, and the Berlin Commercial Awards.
