BTS’s RM Shares Joy Before Military Discharge
On the eve of their official discharge from military service, BTS members RM and Jungkook shared their excitement with fans. RM took to Instagram on December 9th to share his feelings, posting a simple yet resonant message: “Discharge complete.”
#### A Joyous Moment Captured
RM’s Instagram post featured four photos of him wearing military uniform, striking a salute and a celebratory pose. These images captured the essence of pride and relief felt as he completed his duty.
#### Serving Their Country
Both RM and Jungkook enlisted together on December 11, 2023, and are expected to return to civilian life on the same day. RM served in the Army’s 15th Infantry Division Band, while Jungkook was a part of the Army’s 2nd Corps Military Police Special Mission Team.
#### No Official Discharge Event
BTS’s agency, Big Hit Music, announced on December 6th that there would be no official discharge ceremony due to safety concerns and the limited space at military sites. Fans were urged to respect this decision to ensure a safe environment for both the artists and their supporters.
#### Completing Service Together
On December 11th, not only will RM and Jungkook be discharged, but fellow members Jimin and Suga will conclude their military duties as well. Jimin, who enlisted on December 12, 2023, served in the Army’s 5th Infantry Division alongside RM, while Suga wrapped up his alternative military service as a social service worker and is expected to be released from duty on December 21st.
