Breaking boundaries: j-hope’s vibrant soundscape and Jin’s solidifying solo identity
j-hope’s Solo Project: Diversity in Sound
BTS member j-hope is making waves with his latest solo project, revealing an unprecedented range in his music. Set to drop on the 13th, his digital single ‘Killin’ It Girl (feat. GloRilla)’ captures the exhilarating feeling of falling in love, beautifully articulated through a robust hip-hop beat. This single marks the final track of j-hope’s solo series, starting from March this year.
Earlier releases such as ‘Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)’ and ‘MONA LISA’ highlighted the contrasting aspects of his artistry — from the sweet longing expressed in the former to the cool choreography in the latter, showcasing j-hope’s world-class performing skills. Both tracks gained international traction, climbing to 66th and 65th on Billboard Hot 100 respectively.
‘Killin’ It Girl’, set to debut at ‘j-hope Tour ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’ FINAL’, is already amassing attention with its sultry concept photos and anticipated synergy with American rapper GloRilla.

Jin’s Solo Ascent: Building on Band Sound
On a parallel solo journey, Jin is engaging global fans through his distinctive musical identity. His solo venture kicks off with the ‘#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR’ starting this month in Goyang, followed by stops in nine cities including Anaheim, Dallas, and London.
Having released his mini-album ‘Echo‘ this May, Jin solidified his position as a solo artist. The album, boasting a diverse range of genres from Brit Rock to Ballad Pop, entered the Billboard 200 at an impressive third place and stayed for two weeks while debuting at 63rd in the UK’s Official Albums Top 100. Jin’s refined ‘band sound’ combined with his emotive voice has drawn positive praise, described as ‘authentically Jin’.
With both j-hope and Jin pushing artistic boundaries in their respective solo ventures, 2025 is set to be a groundbreaking year for BTS members and their eager global fanbase.
