BTS’s Jin Dominates Global Charts

On May 16th, Jin of the world-renowned group BTS, released his second solo mini-album, ‘Echo’. Featuring seven tracks, four of which Jin co-wrote, the album showcases his expansive vocal range and artistic talent.

The album quickly swept global charts, garnering overwhelming love worldwide. With a gold certification for ‘Echo’, following the platinum-certified ‘HAPPY’, released in 2024, and the gold-certified 2022 single, ‘The Astronaut’, Jin became the Korean male solo artist with the most RIAJ (Recording Industry Association of Japan) certified albums.

A Historic Achievement

Notably, Jin is the first Korean solo artist to receive RIAJ certifications for three Korean albums.

His title track, ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ debuted at No. 1 on Spotify Korea’s chart on June 19th, maintaining its top position for four consecutive days. In Japan, it also held the No. 1 spot for 24 days, further registering at No. 6 on the global Spotify chart, showcasing Jin’s extensive international impact.

Achieving another record, ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ became the first and only 2025 song by an Asian artist to reach No. 1 on the Spotify Global chart. Jin joined the ranks of music titans like Bad Bunny and Playboi Carti.

The track has demonstrated consistent popularity, ranking second for two straight weeks on Spotify’s ‘Weekly Top Songs Global’.
