BTS Jin Surprises Coldplay Fans in Seoul with Emotional Reunion Performance

In a stunning surprise that sent fans into a frenzy, BTS member Jin made a heartfelt return to the stage during Coldplay’s concert in South Korea. Appearing at the final of three performances of the ‘Coldplay: Music of the Spheres Delivered by DHL’ tour at Goyang Stadium on November 19, Jin joined his long-time collaborators for an emotional moment fans will not soon forget.

During the fan-requested ‘Songbook’ segment, Jin impersonated an ordinary fan on the floor, holding a placard before Coldplay frontman Chris Martin called him up to the stage. The crowd erupted into cheers as Jin performed his solo single ‘The Astronaut’, a collaboration with Coldplay, accompanied by Martin on the keyboard.

Jin’s unexpected appearance marked a full-circle moment. “My last performance before enlistment and my first stage after discharge was with Coldplay,” Jin shared, reflecting on the significance of the reunion. The two artists bowed to one another and exchanged a warm embrace, embodying the lasting friendship forged through music.

The excitement didn’t stop there. Jin later returned to perform ‘My Universe’, the celebrated BTS and Coldplay collaboration, elevating the night into an unforgettable experience for the 50,000 fans in attendance.

Coldplay’s Seoul stop drew a total of 150,000 attendees across shows held on November 16, 18, and 19, with additional concerts scheduled on November 22, 24, and 25.

Following the event, Jin shared a lighthearted update with fans on social media, posting photos from his surprise appearance with the cheerful captions “안뇽하쎄용” and “해삐.”
