BTS Jimin’s New York Art Exhibition Tops the Charts for 4 Consecutive Days
BTS member Jimin is once again proving his global popularity with his solo exhibition ‘The Truth Untold: 전하지 못한 진심’, which reflects on his first solo albums ‘FACE’ and ‘MUSE’. The show is set to open in New York City from May 31 to June 29, and expectations are soaring.
Ticket pre-sales, launched via the global live entertainment discovery platform FEVER, have already made waves. Beginning on May 1 (KST), the exhibition rose to No.1 on New York’s Best Selling list and maintained that top spot for four consecutive days, from May 1 through May 4—all without any major marketing campaign.
This impressive achievement prompted SKPopCulture, a fast-growing media outlet spotlighting K-culture abroad, to dub Jimin as ‘The King of Jimerica’, underlining his unparalleled popularity in the US market. The term ‘Jimerica’ has become a symbol of Jimin’s influence stateside, following his explosive success on American music charts.
Jimin previously made history as the first Korean solo artist to hit No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with his track ‘Like Crazy’. His subsequent single ‘Who’ extended that acclaim, remaining on the chart for 33 weeks—marking the longest-charting K-pop track by a soloist without collaboration to date.
Further solidifying his career in the West, Jimin took home the ‘K-Pop Song of the Year’ award at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards for ‘Who’ and earned a nomination for ‘Favorite K-Pop Artist’ at the prestigious American Music Awards (AMA).
His New York exhibition arrives at the peak of this global acclaim, offering fans and art enthusiasts an immersive journey into Jimin’s creative psyche—unfolding another layer of his artistry through a curated blend of storytelling and visual emotion.
