BTS’ Jimin Achieves Historic Milestones on Spotify US
Jimin of BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) continues to make waves internationally, setting unparalleled records on the world’s largest music streaming platform, Spotify.
‘MUSE’ Achieves 40 Weeks on Spotify US Weekly Top Albums Chart
On April 25, Spotify updated its US Weekly Top Albums Chart, revealing that Jimin’s second solo album ‘MUSE’ has remained on the chart for an astonishing 40 consecutive weeks. This makes ‘MUSE’ the first and only K-pop solo album to achieve this feat.
‘Who’ Climbs Spotify US Weekly Top Songs Chart
Jimin’s title track ‘Who’ also marked a significant milestone by climbing 12 spots to rank at No. 87 on the Spotify US Weekly Top Songs Chart. ‘Who’ has now stayed on this prestigious chart for 40 straight weeks, becoming the first and only solo track by a K-pop solo artist to do so.
Consecutive Success Following ‘Like Crazy’
This record comes on the heels of the success of Jimin’s previous title track ‘Like Crazy’ from his first solo album ‘FACE’, which charted for 38 weeks on Spotify US Weekly Top Songs. His back-to-back achievements with ‘Like Crazy’ and ‘Who’ further prove his overwhelming popularity in the United States, earning him the affectionate nickname “JimAmerica.”
Record-Breaking Streak Continues
Furthermore, ‘Who’ climbed five places to No. 93 on the Spotify US Daily Top Songs Chart as of April 24, logging an impressive 280 consecutive days on the chart. Jimin continues to break his own record for the longest-charting solo song by a K-pop artist.
Jimin’s Billboard ‘Hot 100’ Dominance
Previously, Jimin made history with ‘Like Crazy’ by becoming the first Korean solo artist to top the Billboard’s Main Singles Chart, the ‘Hot 100’. He has now added another record with ‘Who,’ which has charted on the ‘Hot 100’ for 33 weeks, the longest for a K-pop solo song, cementing his position as a global superstar.
