BTS marks another digital milestone as MIC Drop Steve Aoki Remix exceeds 15 billion views

Global K-pop sensation BTS has achieved yet another remarkable milestone as their music video for ‘MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)’ surpassed 1.5 billion views on YouTube. The news was announced by their label, Big Hit Music, on June 23. The video surpassed the milestone at approximately 5:07 PM KST.

This marks BTS’s fourth music video to reach over 1.5 billion views, following the success of ‘Dynamite’ (nearing 2 billion), ‘Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)’ (over 1.8 billion), and ‘DNA’ (over 1.6 billion).

Originally released on November 24, 2017, ‘MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)’ was unveiled through the HYBE LABELS official channel. The remix transformed the original track from BTS’s mini-album into an energetic Electro Trap anthem, thanks to the renowned DJ Steve Aoki.

At the time of release, the remix debuted at no. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100, maintaining a strong presence for 10 consecutive weeks and earning international acclaim. The music video mesmerizes viewers with intense visuals and compelling choreography, especially the iconic scene where BTS member Suga drops the microphone, reinforcing the song’s rebellious message.
