BTOB and FANTASY BOYS Join Star-Studded Lineup for ASEA 2025 in Yokohama

FANTASY BOYS and BTOB to perform at the ASIAN STAR ENTERTAINER AWARDS 2025 in Japan

K-pop legends BTOB and powerhouse rookie group FANTASY BOYS have officially joined the performance lineup for the highly anticipated ASIAN STAR ENTERTAINER AWARDS 2025 presented by JOJOTOWN (ASEA 2025), which will take place on May 28 and 29 at K-Arena Yokohama in Japan. The ASEA organizing committee confirmed their participation on May 2.

Debuting in 2012, BTOB – composed of Seo Eun-kwang, Lee Min-hyuk, Lim Hyun-sik, and Peniel – has long captivated audiences with their exceptional live performances, powerful vocals, and self-produced hits. Signature tracks such as ‘Can’t Be Without You’, ‘Beautiful Yet Painful’, ‘Memories of Spring’, and ‘Miss’ have garnered them both critical acclaim and massive popularity among fans and the general public alike.

In 2023, the group launched their Becoming Project, releasing new songs monthly, culminating in the release of their album BTODAY. Their world tour, ‘3,2,1 Go! Mellimpic’, included successful fan concerts in Seoul, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, and Hong Kong, with upcoming dates in Tokyo (May 14), Osaka (May 16), and Jakarta (June 7).

On the other hand, FANTASY BOYS – formed via MBC’s survival show After School Excitement Season 2: Boy Fantasy – are proving to be breakout stars for the second consecutive year at ASEA. Even before their official debut, they sold out large-scale fan concerts in Japan and have built a solid international following.

Highlighting their dynamic presence, the group made remarkable appearances in survival shows like Starlight Boys and PROJECT 7. They recently dropped their first full-length Japanese album SHINE THE WAY, captivating local fans via the nationwide Zepp tour. Their Korean mini-album title track Undeniable showcased their musical maturity and flair. Later this year, they are set to launch Double 0ne, a unit project with BAE173, which has already stirred high anticipation among fans.

The second edition of ASEA promises to deliver a showcase of the biggest names in Asian music. Following the success of its inaugural event last year, which featured Stray Kids, TXT, DAY6, TREASURE, and SHINee’s Taemin, ASEA 2025 is once again putting global K-pop excellence in the spotlight.

The May 28 performers include aespa, ENHYPEN, Hearts to Hearts, KiKi, NCT WISH, NEXZ, NIZIU, NOWADAYS, Timeless, and Xdinary Heroes. The hosting highlights include THE BOYZ’s Juyeon and IVE’s Rei as MCs, with Jang Geun-suk presenting the Grand Prize.

On May 29, the event will feature standout acts such as ATARASHII GAKKO!, &TEAM, BADVILLAIN, BTOB, FANTASY BOYS, (G)I-DLE, Hana, Jo Yu-ri, Nueera, NSIGN, Sakurazaka46, SKY-HI, THE BOYZ, and THE RAMPAGE from EXILE TRIBE. The show will be hosted by Kim Hye-yoon, MONSTA X’s Hyungwon, and THE BOYZ’s Younghoon. Byun Woo-seok will present the Grand Prize, with Choo Young-woo and Jo Yu-ri participating as award presenters.

Co-hosted by Newsen, @star1, and The STAY&EM, this prestigious award show is marking a milestone this year – celebrating Newsen’s 20th anniversary and @star1’s 13th anniversary.
