According to the Japan Record Association’s announcement today, the album has exceeded 100,000 units in shipments, earning a Gold Disc certification. This achievement highlights the group’s growing popularity in Japan.

The Japan Record Association awards certifications based on cumulative shipments, with Gold for 100,000, Platinum for 250,000, and so on. BOYNEXTDOOR’s previous work, ‘19.99’, also achieved the Gold Disc certification, underscoring their steady presence in the Japanese music market.

Chart Dominance

Released last month, ‘No Genre’ topped the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking and the Billboard Japan’s ‘Top Albums Sales’ and ‘Hot Albums’ charts during the tally period of May 12-18. These accomplishments indicate the group’s significant traction and fanbase dedication in Japan.

Consistent Success

Prior albums, ‘HOW?’ and ‘19.99’, have also secured dual crowns on Oricon’s weekly charts, marking this as their third consecutive feat. Such consistent chart performance speaks volumes about the group’s enduring appeal.

Impressive Sales Figures

BOYNEXTDOOR stands out with their album’s initial sales, recording over 1,116,419 units in its first week according to the Hanteo Chart. This marks their second consecutive million-seller status, further solidifying their stature as a leading act.

Billboard Achievement

‘No Genre’ also entered the main US Billboard Album Chart ‘Billboard 200’ at position 62 on May 31. This marks their fourth consecutive entry, showcasing their strengthened global presence.

Upcoming Concerts

On the touring front, BOYNEXTDOOR is set to hold the ‘BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR ‘KNOCK ON Vol.1′ ENCORE IN JAPAN’ from May 28-30 at Tokyo Keio Arena. This encore concert is a testament to their growing fanbase and support from global fans.

The tour will conclude with a final concert series at Seoul’s KSPO Dome from June 25-27.
