BOYNEXTDOOR Breaks Boundaries with ‘No Genre’: A Statement of Artistic Freedom

K-pop’s rising stars BOYNEXTDOOR (members: The Sign of the Cross, Riwoo, Myung Jaehyun, Taesan, Lee Han, Woonhak) have returned with their fourth mini-album, titled No Genre. Dropping officially on May 13 at 6 PM (KST), the group unveiled its full tracklist via official SNS channels on April 21, teasing a colorful and youthful visual lineup in yellow, purple, and green hues.

The title No Genre serves as a declaration of artistic independence, reflecting the team’s commitment to creative expression beyond conventional genre labels. With seven songs in total—including the high-energy title track I Feel Good, the emotional “123-78,” and other new tracks like “Step By Step,” “Next Mistake,” “장난쳐?,” and “오늘만 I LOVE YOU”—BOYNEXTDOOR demonstrates their versatility and lyrical depth.

Member Woonhak made a significant mark by participating in the production of all tracks, a testament to the group’s growing musical capabilities. Fellow members Myung Jaehyun and Taesan also contributed to the songwriting process, highlighting the collaborative spirit behind the album. The title track, I Feel Good, is produced by KOZ Entertainment’s head producer ZICO, alongside Pop Time and Kako, delivering a vibrant and addictive anthem celebrating unrestrained self-confidence and energy.

Each track explores a new narrative or emotion: “123-78” grapples with longing through the metaphor of counting seconds; “Step By Step” channels the desire to hold onto fleeting seasons; “장난쳐?” paints a scene of lighthearted jealousy; and “Next Mistake” reflects on love’s duality—passionate at its peak and regretful at its end. “오늘만 I LOVE YOU,” previously released in January as a digital single, rounds out the sonic journey with raw reflection on breakups. The album also includes an English version of the title track for global fans.

In anticipation of their comeback, BOYNEXTDOOR will sequentially unveil concept photos and films for three distinct themes—No Matter, No Route, and No Limit—starting from April 22, fueling excitement among fans worldwide.
