In August last year, the doors to BMJ Acting Studio opened, leading the way in actor training. Recently, it underwent a transformation and expanded to a new location near Geumcheon-gu Office Station, adopting the name BMJ Acting Academy. The move was fueled by the growing number of students and the need for a more expansive, sophisticated educational infrastructure for developing media content.

In the 2025 admissions cycle, all applicants from their Seoul and Gyeonggi area theater and film departments were admitted successfully. The academy’s junior students have also excelled, bagging awards at video contests and winning gold at local singing competitions.

BMJ Acting Academy caters to all ages, offering tailored programs that span entrance exams, debut preparation, and hobbyist courses. Recently, they’ve broadened their curriculum to include film contest classes and musical theatre, attracting top-notch instructors from prestigious universities and seasoned actors to enhance course competitiveness.

Partnering with entertainment and media production firms, BMJ provides students with real audition and casting opportunities. As they prepare for the next batch of intakes for 2026, BMJ boasts a faculty comprising admission supervisors and judges, fostering confidence in students aiming for academic success.

Leading this charge is Ban Min-jung, with over 20 years of experience in university lectures, one-on-one mentorship with idols and new actors, and a history of working with students preparing for entrance exams. Her accolades include the 2024 Acting Educator Award and the 2025 Favorite Educational Institution Brand Award.

Ban Min-jung emphasizes, “It’s not just an academy; it’s a pathway to understanding the essence of acting.
