Blackpink’s Long-Awaited Comeback is Officially on the Horizon

K-pop sensation Blackpink is set to reunite as a full group with a brand-new single, marking their return to the music scene nearly two years and eight months after their last full-length album, BORN PINK. The announcement was made through YG Entertainment’s official blog on June 26, alongside a special video statement from Chief Producer Yang Hyun-suk.

Babymonster and Treasure Also Gear Up for Big Releases

Alongside Blackpink’s highly anticipated return, rookie girl group Babymonster is unleashing a pre-release single titled HOT SAUCE on July 1, followed by a second single in September and their mini-album drop on October 1. Yang described HOT SAUCE as “a highly addictive hip-hop track inspired by the late ’80s,” spotlighting the teenage group’s unique take on old-school genres.

Boy group Treasure will release a new mini-album on September 1, with support for more than two album releases annually, as confirmed by Yang. The group will embark on a global world tour starting in October, further solidifying their international presence.

New Rookies in the Pipeline for YG Entertainment

Yang Hyun-suk also revealed for the first time YG’s plans to debut new groups, with two boy groups and two girl groups currently in preparation. The company aims to officially launch at least one new boy group in the coming year, signaling a dynamic expansion of YG’s artist roster.

With powerful lineups, exciting comebacks, and innovative releases, YG Entertainment is poised to dominate the global K-pop scene throughout 2024 and beyond.
