BigBang’s Daesung Reveals Taeyang’s Devoted Dad Life
On June 9, BigBang’s Daesung gave fans a rare glimpse into Taeyang‘s private life as a father during a new episode of his YouTube show ZipDaesung. In the episode, Daesung meets with fellow artists Dynamic Duo and Gummy for a laid-back conversation that unexpectedly turned into a celebration of married life.
As the group discussed parenting, Dynamic Duo’s Gaeko mentioned Taeyang, whose real name is Dong Young-bae. “Young-bae is famous. I heard he’s very dedicated when it comes to taking his child to and from school,” he commented. Daesung laughed and confirmed, saying, “It’s wild. He really is famous for that.”
The episode’s tone took a heartfelt turn as Daesung shared, “Honestly, today’s special isn’t just about Dynamic Duo and Gummy. It’s actually a marriage promotion special.” He went on to say, “People like Gummy noona and Young-bae hyung are the ones who really encourage those around them to settle down.”
Taeyang is currently the only married member of BigBang. After dating for four years, he married actress Min Hyo-rin in 2018. In 2021, the couple welcomed their first son.
Meanwhile, Taeyang’s 2023 hit collaboration with BTS’s Jimin, “Vibe”, continues to make waves. The track recently surpassed 250 million streams on Spotify, reaffirming Taeyang’s enduring popularity and evolving artistry.
