Baskin Robbins Unveils Playful New Flavors Inspired by Movie Titles

New Baskin Robbins flavors include bear gummy ice cream and churro chocolate delight

Baskin Robbins is serving up a scoop of cinematic sweetness this May with its newly launched monthly flavors that blend creative taste with clever film-themed branding. Headlining the May collection is the whimsical offering, ‘Do You Like Bear on a Spring Day?’ — a playful homage to the mood of spring and the romantic essence of its namesake Korean movie.

This limited-edition flavor combines the fruity charms of strawberries and bananas with rich strawberry syrup and banana puree ribbons. Topping it off with adorable tri-colored bear gummies, it taps into the current trend for playful, multi-textured desserts that are both Instagram-worthy and satisfying.

The naming convention follows a familiar path for Baskin Robbins Korea, where past favorites like ‘Puss in Boots’ and ‘Gone with the Wind’ gained attention for their pop culture movie title references. The latest flavor is no exception, drawing inspiration from the Korean romantic film ‘Do You Like Bear on a Spring Day?’ to evoke tenderness and nostalgia.

To further sweeten the deal, the brand is rolling out a special spring promotion: customers who purchase a single regular scoop of the featured flavor can upgrade to a double junior size for just 500 KRW, allowing them to enjoy two distinct flavors in one cup.

This month’s flavor launch is also powered by a new advertising campaign featuring rising Korean actor Byun Woo-seok, further elevating excitement among K-pop and K-drama fans alike.

Also making its debut is ‘I Want Chu!’—a cheeky, dessert-inspired ice cream flavor paying tribute to the popular ‘dip-and-eat’ culture. Based on smooth milk ice cream, the flavor includes ribbons mimicking sugar-coated churros, rich chocolate swirls, and crunchy churro cookie chunks, perfectly recalling the experience of dipping freshly fried churros into decadent sauces.

‘These two new flavors highlight the brand’s dedication to experiential desserts,’ said a spokesperson for Baskin Robbins, ‘From film-inspired names to unique textural toppings, we invite everyone to celebrate spring with sweetness and style.’
