EXO’s Baekhyun Expands Global Reach with ‘Essence of Reverie’

Baekhyun, a renowned member of EXO and accomplished solo artist, has taken a significant step forward with the release of his 5th Mini Album, Essence of Reverie. Launched on the 19th, the album has quickly captured audiences both in Korea and around the world. Following the release, Baekhyun promoted his pre-release track ‘Chocolate’ and title song ‘Elevator’ through dynamic live performances and appearances on popular YouTube shows, showcasing not only his impressive vocals but also his engaging presence.

Staying true to his reputation as a fan-favorite, Baekhyun is rolling out interactive events to connect more closely with his supporters. In Korea, a themed pop-up store is open from the 22nd to 28th at The Hyundai Seoul, Yeouido, featuring exhibits aligned with the album’s unique concept.

Baekhyun’s global influence is evident with a special album release event in the United States. Between May 23 and 25 (local time), pop-up experiences will take place across eight major cities—Los Angeles, Atlanta, San Diego, Murfreesboro, Orlando, Seattle, Tempe, and Washington, D.C.—offering American fans immersive activities. The new album is also available at key retailers including Target, Walmart, and Barnes & Noble, further accelerating his global expansion.

The album’s launch marks a significant achievement: Essence of Reverie soared to #1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 24 regions and the Top Songs chart in 14 regions. Within just three days, sales exceeded one million copies, setting a new record for the highest first-week sales by a solo artist album released in 2025.

Baekhyun is set to ignite his first-ever solo world tour, opening with the ‘Reverie’ concert in Seoul at the KSPO Dome on June 7 and 8, signaling a grand new chapter in his career.
