Bae Doona Opens Up About Potential Return for ‘Stranger’ Season 3
Acclaimed South Korean actress Bae Doona recently expressed her enduring affection for the drama series Stranger during an interview held on April 30 at a café in Samcheong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Sitting down to promote her latest film Virus, Bae was asked about the possibility of appearing in a third season of the hit legal thriller. She candidly stated, “I haven’t been contacted yet. I’m in the same agency as Cho Seung-woo, and he hasn’t heard anything either.”
When asked if she would accept an offer to return, she smiled and answered without hesitation: “Of course, I would do it. It’s a project I deeply love.”
Virus, directed by Kang Yi-gwan, follows the unexpected journey of Tak-seon (played by Bae), a woman infected by a 100% fatal virus that inexplicably causes love. She navigates a bizarre and emotional trip with three men—Su-pil (played by Son Suk-ku), a lonely researcher; Yeon-woo (played by Jang Ki-ha), an old classmate; and Lee Kyun (played by Kim Yoon-seok), the only expert capable of finding a cure.
The film is set for theatrical release on May 7 and marks Bae Doona’s return to the silver screen with a genre-bending performance that blends romance, mystery, and science fiction.
