BabyMonster’s Rami Steps Back from Asian Tour for Health Reasons
Rising K-pop powerhouse BabyMonster has confirmed that member Rami will not be joining the group for the Asia leg of their ongoing tour due to health concerns. On May 9, YG Entertainment announced through an official statement that Rami will be absent from performances starting May 17 in Singapore through to the end of June.
According to the label, “Since debut, Rami has been tackling ongoing health issues. While she continued treatment to engage in activities and return fans’ love, her condition has not improved. Recently, medical professionals advised her to take complete rest from all activities.”
Despite the unexpected setback, BabyMonster remains committed to delivering high-quality performances on their ‘2025 BABYMONSTER 1st World Tour “Hello Monsters” in Japan’. The remaining six members are preparing revamped six-member performances and new cover songs to ensure fans receive a powerful stage experience.
YG Entertainment praised the dedication of the group, adding, “We ask for fans’ enthusiastic support for the six members who are doing their best to fill the stage in Rami’s absence. Please also send warm wishes so that Rami can regain her strength and return soon.”
This tour marks BabyMonster’s first world tour just a year after making their official debut. Following their successful shows in Japan, the group is set to perform in major Asian cities including Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei.
Additionally, plans for a North American extension later this year—engaging fans in cities like Toronto, Rosemont, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Oakland, and Seattle—highlight BabyMonster’s rapid global ascent.
Even with one member temporarily stepping away, BabyMonster continues to roar across the globe, proving that the monster rookie group is here to stay.
