ASTRO’s JinJin Shines in Show Musical ‘Dream High’ as Songsam-dong

ASTRO’s JinJin continues to impress as he successfully completed the debut performance of the show musical Dream High at the Uri Financial Art Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park on June 5. Playing the starring role of Songsam-dong, originally made famous in the 2011 KBS2 drama of the same name, JinJin captivated audiences with both his dynamic dance abilities and steady vocals.

Dream High is a stage adaptation of the hit 2011 KBS2 drama that follows a group of aspiring K-pop stars who return to their high school, Kirin Art High School, after graduation. JinJin took on the lead role of Songsam-dong, now a singer known as “The K,” delivering a performance filled with energy, precision, and passion.

JinJin’s impressive stage presence and charismatic delivery offered a thrilling experience for the audience. His powerful dance routines paired with his evolving vocal skills affirmed his growing influence in the musical theater world. Since debuting in the theatrical realm in 2023 with Dream High, JinJin has also appeared in notable productions such as Winter Bird and Crash Landing on You, each time demonstrating remarkable growth and artistic range.

JinJin’s journey as a musical actor has gained international momentum following a successful run of the Dream High performance in Japan, held between May 11 and 27. Earlier this year, he also completed his first solo concert series, JinLab Vol1. Find Your Groove, held both in Korea and Japan during February and March, showcasing his distinctive style and musical identity.

Dream High, featuring JinJin as Songsam-dong, will continue its run at Seoul’s Uri Financial Art Hall in Olympic Park until June 1. With each performance, JinJin strengthens his footing as a multifaceted performer expanding beyond the K-pop stage.
