Antenna Plus Launches Rural-Themed Spin-Off ‘Kkangchoncation’ Featuring Yoo Jae-suk and Lee Dong-wook

Yoo Jae suk and Lee Dong wook lead chaotic countryside escape in DdeunDdeuns Kkangchoncation

Antenna Plus’s YouTube channel DdeunDdeun is back with another laughter-packed spin-off. Following the success of Pinggyego and its award-winning sequel Punghyanggo, the platform debuts a fresh countryside-themed variety show titled Kkangchoncation on May 24 at 9 AM KST.

Starring variety king Yoo Jae-suk, heartthrob Lee Dong-wook, the witty Nam Chang-hee, and rising star Lee Sang-i, the new show takes viewers deep into the Korean countryside—specifically a remote village in Gyeongsangbuk-do Uiseong. Without the guidance of production staff, the four celebrities attempt to live out their idealized version of rural life, only to quickly face the harsh realities of their bucolic daydream.

Far from the serenity they envisioned, the show offers a chaotic and hilarious alternative to the typical ‘healing show.’ The interactions among these urbanites, far removed from their comfort zones, create unpredictable and laugh-out-loud moments, promising viewers a full recharge of joy and levity.

This launch follows a major milestone for DdeunDdeun, whose variety show Punghyanggo—a spontaneous, app-free overseas travel series—recently won the Entertainment Program Award at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards. Despite running an average of 100 minutes per episode, the series captivated audiences with its raw authenticity.

With that momentum, Kkangchoncation is expected to carry the torch forward. The show launches its first episode on May 24 and will thereafter air new episodes every Saturday at 9 AM KST on the DdeunDdeun YouTube channel.
