Ahn Jae-hyun Shines in KBS 2TV’s New Variety Show with Comedic Chemistry

South Korean actor Ahn Jae-hyun made a powerful return to television with a standout performance in the premiere episode of KBS 2TV’s latest variety show, Ganeunjung Oneunjung Lee Min-jung. Airing on Friday nights, the show follows a quirky mobile convenience store crew that travels to rural villages, delivering essential goods and sharing heartwarming stories with locals.

In his return to KBS after the drama The Real Has Come!, Ahn joined the ‘Jeong siblings’ team alongside Lee Min-jung, Boom, Kim Jung-hyun, and Kim Jae-won. Right from the pre-meeting, Ahn’s easygoing nature and signature denim-on-denim look helped set a lively tone. He broke the ice with a charming Zodiac-themed game, quickly warming up to his fellow cast members.

Partnering with Kim Jae-won, Ahn drove a colossal 3.5-ton “supercar” to Hyojado island, leaving spectators in awe. Once at the lodging, Ahn lovingly prepared meals for the team, displaying nurturing chemistry that added a soft, healing vibe to the show.

Ahn continued to impress during the promotional stint, passing out flyers for the mobile store with Boom and Kim Jung-hyun. Later, he took on the role of cashier, receiving intensive POS training and staying professional even amid a bustling crowd of villagers. Though he fumbled with calculations, viewers loved his humorous missteps.

True to the show’s community-driven spirit, Ahn lent a hand to the village chief and even tried his hand at catching and sorting shilchi (raw young fish) for the first time—a clear highlight of the episode. His earnest attempt to fillet a flatfish during dinner prep, despite frozen conditions and video tutorials, drew laughter and sympathy alike.
