Actor Yoo Seung-ho Donates to Ronald McDonald House to Support Children in Need

Korean actor Yoo Seungho supports RMHC Korea with donation for children with serious illnesses

Renowned Korean actor Yoo Seung-ho has recently made headlines with a heartwarming charitable act that shines light on children battling severe illnesses and their families. According to his agency 333, Yoo donated KRW 10 million to Ronald McDonald House Charities Korea (RMHC Korea) to commemorate Family Month in South Korea.

RMHC Korea, part of the global nonprofit Ronald McDonald House Charities, supports families with seriously ill children by providing accommodations close to hospitals. Yoo’s generous contribution will aid in constructing new houses in the Seoul metropolitan area and enhance comfort and support for families undergoing lengthy outpatient care for their children.

Earlier in April, Yoo visited the Ronald McDonald House located in Yangsan, Gyeongsangnam-do. He personally engaged with hospitalized children and their loved ones, delivering heartfelt gifts and messages of encouragement—further demonstrating his sincere commitment to this cause.

“I’m deeply grateful for the love I’ve received over the years and wanted to share that love meaningfully,” said Yoo Seung-ho. “I hope children can rest comfortably in the warmth of their families while receiving treatment without fear. I wish to offer a little hope and courage for kids striving towards their dreams.”

Yoo Seung-ho has also been selected as ambassador for the upcoming ‘2025 McDonald’s Happy Walk’, scheduled for May 25. He will join participating families on a walk where each step contributes to a donation. All participant fees, including Yoo’s donation, will be delivered to RMHC Korea.

Meanwhile, Yoo continues to impress in his role as Brutus in the play ‘Killing Caesar’, a reinterpretation of Shakespeare’s classic Julius Caesar. The production runs through July 20 at the Sogang University Mary Hall Grand Theater.
