SHINee Shines Bright with Emotional New Single ‘Poet | Artist’

Continuing their legacy as one of K-pop’s most iconic groups, SHINee returns with a highly anticipated single titled Poet | Artist. The emotional and stylistically rich duo of tracks, comprised of the title song Poet | Artist and the B-side Starlight, is set to release on leading music platforms at midnight on June 25 (KST).

Embracing a vibrant electro-pop style, the title track Poet | Artist pairs energetic snare elements and reggae-inspired rhythms with vocal-driven melodies. Its lyrics deliver a bold message—encouraging listeners to break conventional boundaries and apply poetic sensibilities to everyday life, as artists and poets do. The narrative challenges traditional frameworks, urging authenticity and creative expression beyond the expected.

The single’s accompanying track, Starlight, offers a refreshing, medium-tempo dance pop experience. Blending funky electric guitar riffs with smooth synth pads, its lyrics describe the magical feeling of meeting someone who illuminates your path like starlight breaking through the dark. Fans got a first glimpse of the new songs during SHINee WORLD Ⅶ [E.S.S.A.Y] (Every Stage Shines Around You), the group’s seventh solo concert, held at the Olympic Park KSPO Dome in Seoul. The live performances, enriched by SHINee’s characteristic charm and mesmerizing stage presence, received an explosive reaction from the audience.

Following the concert’s encore, a surprise teaser for the Poet | Artist music video was unveiled, sending fans into a frenzy. The full music video is scheduled to premiere globally via the SMTOWN YouTube channel at the same time as the music release, promising a blend of visual poetry and sonic elegance.

SHINee continues the celebration with two additional concert dates at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena through June 25. The physical release of the single will follow on June 26, further solidifying their return to the global music scene.
