Jungkook’s Golden Return: BTS Fans Launch Dazzling Support Projects Ahead of Military Discharge

As BTS member Jungkook prepares to complete his mandatory military service on June 11, his dedicated fanbase in South Korea is rolling out the red carpet—with gold trimmings. The fan club Jungkook Supporters has launched an extravagant campaign titled Golden Return – Jungkook to coincide with the artist’s discharge and the 12th anniversary of his debut.

Between June 5 and 11, 150 streetlamp banner advertisements featuring Jungkook’s image and the message “Jungkook’s Golden Return — Time to Soar Again” will decorate the streets of Jeongok and Yeoncheon in Gyeonggi Province, near Jungkook’s current posting.

Earlier in April, Jungkook Supporters initiated another promotional campaign with fully wrapped corporate taxis in Yeoncheon, running ads for three months until June 30. The ad blitz underscores the unwavering dedication of Jungkook’s Korean fans.

Last year, the group similarly commemorated the release anniversary of Jungkook’s solo album GOLDEN with widespread banner ads across markets, cafes, and building facades near his military base. A special ‘Jungkook Bus’ wrapped with his image was also seen in various cities including Seoul and Yeoncheon.

In another heartwarming gesture, two coffee shops in Yeoncheon offered free drinks to soldiers in uniform, showcasing the fan club’s creative and heartfelt ways of expressing support.

Chinese fanbase Jungkook China has also revealed their series of celebration events. From June 11 to 15, a fully wrapped ‘Jungkook Bus’ will be in circulation around HYBE‘s new building in Seoul. Additional LED media campaigns will run from June 9 to 15 on S-LIVE’s massive 100-meter-long display at COEX Mall, Samseong-dong, and on the prominent C-Live screens at the entrances of both COEX and Parnas Mall.

In parallel with his discharge, Jungkook continues to achieve global recognition. He recently became a four-time winner at the prestigious 2025 BMI Pop Awards, setting a new record as the most-awarded Korean solo artist in the show’s history.
