K-pop Queens (G)I-DLE Spill Secrets and Laughter on ‘Knowing Bros’

Kpop group GIDLE shares behind the scenes contract drama and comeback stories on JTBC show

The beloved K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE returned as a full unit on the latest episode of ‘Knowing Bros’ (JTBC), bringing with them a mix of explosive confessions and hilarious behind-the-scenes stories from their long-awaited comeback with the new track ‘Good Thing’.

Appearing on the June 24 episode, the members opened up about the drama surrounding their contract renewals, personal struggles with the process, and how those moments strengthened their bond.

Leader Soyeon revealed, “I was the first member to finish my contract. The company adjusted the schedule to match my timeline, so all the members ended up renewing around the same time.”

Miyeon added her own candid perspective, explaining, “I avoided going to the office during the negotiations. I was worried the staff might talk to me, so I just stayed away.” Her honesty stirred laughter on set.

Shuhua offered a more practical approach, sharing, “I relied a lot on my lawyer during the renewal discussions.”

The fun didn’t stop with contract talk. The girls also got real about the making of their latest single. Minnie joked, “Whenever I sing the intro of a song, it becomes a hit. But I wasn’t satisfied with my part allocation this time, so I called Soyeon directly.”

Yuqi jumped in with her own frustration, saying, “I actually recorded a part, but Soyeon asked me to switch to another section. Then Miyeon ended up with it.”

Miyeon laughed and confessed, “I liked Yuqi’s part and had the idea to show it to Soyeon. I nailed it, so I kept it.”

The friendly rivalry reached a comedic peak when Minnie said, “If you complain to Soyeon about not having a part, you’ll end up with even less!” — a comment that had the cast roaring with laughter.

With raw emotion and playful energy, (G)I-DLE’s guest appearance showed exactly why they remain fan favorites — both on stage and off.
