Kim Dong Hyun bumbles through food games bringing laughs on latest tvN Handsome Guys episode

Kim Dong-hyun’s Hilarious Blunders Continue in ‘Handsome Guys’

In the latest episode of tvN’s ‘Handsome Guys’, aired on the 22nd, laughter erupted as former MMA fighter and entertainer Kim Dong-hyun bumbled his way through games, food challenges, and meal decisions in the Seoul neighborhood of Mullae-dong, a hotbed of emerging food trends.

The show sees a team of five – Cha Tae-hyun, Kim Dong-hyun, Lee Yi-kyung, Shin Seung-ho, and Olympic fencer Oh Sang-wook – exploring regional dining gems in hopes of solving the eternal culinary dilemma. Episode 24 did not disappoint, landing No.1 in TV ratings among cable and general networks in the 20-49 demographic, according to Nielsen Korea.

‘Pork Bulgogi Fails’ and Brain Games Galore

The first stop was a famed pork bulgogi spot. Three members, including Kim Dong-hyun, ordered oversized portions only to request refills moments later. Shin Seung-ho’s regret over not joining the meat party sparked entertainment, especially after even Cha Tae-hyun broke his promise to eat light.

A playful rivalry intensified during a quiz to determine who’d foot the bill. Kim Dong-hyun’s overconfidence met a challenger in Oh Sang-wook, who skillfully turned the tables. Though Kim won the game, his antics didn’t stop there. Instead of fencing with swords, he mock-attacked Oh using a receipt-wielding chopstick in scenes that had viewers in stitches.

Ramen Rumbles and Soda Cap Showdowns

Round two of Kim vs. Oh kicked off at a ramen eatery. While savoring explosive flavors, the duo engaged in mental math duels and strength competitions—including a battle involving twisting open a soda cap with one hand. Oh Sang-wook’s Olympic-grade grip wowed his rival, inspiring begrudging admiration as he delivered the quip, “Do you even know the joy of victory, hyung?”

Table Turns in Dinner Games

A hellish quiz mechanism awaited them for dinner. Only three winners could eat; the losers would go hungry. Undeterred, Kim Dong-hyun dominated back-to-back quizzes at restaurants famous for fried pig’s feet and grilled chicken innards. Enjoying his solo meal, Kim taunted the others—before karma bit back.

Mishandling a spicy chili, his red-faced suffering birthed the quote of the night: “That’s what happens when you don’t have good intentions,” retorted Cha Tae-hyun. The group later plotted revenge as Kim once again failed to grasp the game rules. Despite giving the correct answer, he didn’t realize he had – leading others to convince him wrongly that he lost. By the end, even Kim admitted, “I guess I’ll need to watch the broadcast to figure this out.”

Online, fans exploded with praise: “Kim Dong-hyun is killing me on ‘Handsome Guys’!”, “It’s my must-watch-with-dinner show,” and “The food recs are deadly—bookmarking them all.”

‘Handsome Guys’ airs every Thursday at 8:40 PM KST on tvN.
