2025 Hangang Drone Light Show to Illuminate Seoul’s Sky with 2,000 Drones
On the evening of May 25 at 8:30 PM, the night sky above the Hangang River will shine brighter than ever as the 2025 Hangang Drone Light Show stages a spectacular performance at Ttukseom Hangang Park. This year’s edition is set to be unprecedented in scale, featuring a stunning choreography of 2,000 drones — the most ever used in Seoul’s iconic drone show series.
Organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the show promises an unforgettable visual experience that surpasses previous events in scope and artistic sophistication. After three highly acclaimed shows since its debut in April, the event returns with this special edition designed to awe and inspire.
Themed around the concept of “soaring hope across time and space,” the production will include visually arresting scenes such as the symbolic ‘wings unfolding in flight’ and an intricately rendered ‘Milky Way made of drones.’ These immersive visual narratives are crafted to offer both technological wonder and emotional resonance to spectators.
Attendees can watch the light show for free from anywhere in the vicinity of Ttukseom Hangang Park. In addition to the drone spectacle, the event will feature various live performances spanning acoustic and pop music genres before and after the main program, enhancing the cultural experience.
“Thanks to the overwhelming support from citizens, we’ve expanded the drone fleet from 1,200 to 2,000 for this special edition,” said the Director of the Tourism and Sports Bureau of Seoul Metropolitan Government. “We invite everyone to come and witness a dazzling fusion of cutting-edge technology and art against the scenic backdrop of the Hangang night sky.”
