K-Pop Stars I-DLE Shine in Late-Night Cityscape for 1theK’s ‘Outdoor Live Studio’

Kpop group IDLE stuns with live performance of Good Thing in Seoul on 1theK Outdoor Studio

Global K-pop sensation I-DLE (formerly (G)I-DLE) has once again captivated international fans with a high-impact live session of their latest track ‘Good Thing’, featured on Kakao Entertainment‘s K-pop media platform 1theK‘s original live content series ‘Outdoor Live Studio’.

On June 21, the performance premiered on 1theK’s YouTube channel, showcasing all five members — Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua — blending their unique vocal tones into one rich harmony. Set against the neon-tinged nightscape of Seoul, the ‘Good Thing’ stage turned into a visual festival that felt like a late-night concert under an urban sky.

‘Outdoor Live Studio’ is one of 1theK’s most creative projects, offering K-pop fans an immersive musical experience in everyday urban spaces such as cafes, buses, restaurants, and supermarkets. I-DLE’s performance, styled with bold haircuts and vibrant fashion, matched perfectly with the vivid city lights, radiating a distinct urban aesthetic and energy.

Loyal to their nickname as the “Queens of K-pop Live,” I-DLE delivered an explosive live take of ‘Good Thing’, accentuated by their signature ‘thumbs-up’ choreography, culminating in a burst of sweetness and charm. The track highlights retro instrumentals, clever 8-bit sound effects, and a catchy hook, all woven together by member Soyeon, who composed the track herself.

The song headlines their 8th mini album ‘We are’ — the group’s first release under their new name “I-DLE” following their re-signing with Cube Entertainment after seven successful years.

“This album marks a significant evolution in our genre and style,” the members shared, underlining their confidence through music that is already drawing attention across the global K-pop fandom.

The video’s production, directed by Wang Sung Hyun PD, expertly juxtaposed Seoul’s dazzling nighttime scenery with close-up angles that made I-DLE’s performance feel intimate and immersive. “The colorful energy of Seoul’s night life fits perfectly with the vibe of the group,” he commented. “Using real-time sound design, we delivered the charm and power of outdoor live music directly to fans around the world.”

With over 34 million subscribers worldwide, 1theK continues to serve as a vital bridge between K-pop artists and global fans by producing original performances, variety content, and exclusive behind-the-scenes moments. Its content is also accessible through MelonTV, the video platform of Korea’s leading music streaming service, Melon.
