20th Century Boy’z Drops Debut Mini Album ‘DEBUT’ with Title Track ‘DREAMING’
South Korea’s rock scene is getting a powerful new entry. 20th Century Boy’z, the new band formed by former Norange member Lee Hyuk and TRAX guitarist Jungmo, has officially launched their music career with the release of their first mini album ‘DEBUT’ on June 24 at 6 PM (KST).
The album is available across major streaming platforms, accompanied by the music video for their lead single, ‘DREAMING’. Blending sleek electronic elements with the raw power of rock, the title track is a vibrant pop-rock anthem that sets the tone for the group’s daring musical narrative.
Both Lee Hyuk and Jungmo poured their talents into every track of the five-song album, taking charge of writing, composing, and producing. ‘DREAMING’ heralds a fresh artistic direction, breaking away from their previous identities and embracing a cohesive new sound as 20th Century Boy’z.
The mini album showcases a wide array of genres. Tracks like ‘JUMP OFF’ deliver upbeat, high-energy rock fusions, while the groovy rhythm of ‘I’ll Do My Best’ (너나 잘하세요) reveals a funkier side. ‘HYSTERIA 444’ stands out with its hardcore guitar riffs and fierce vocal shouts, and ‘I Love You’ (네가 좋아) closes the album beautifully with an acoustic, vocal-focused ballad.
Lee Hyuk began his career with the trio band Openhead in 2003, later joining underground group July and reaching mainstream players as part of Norange and Lee Hyuk Band. Known for his explosive vocal range and commanding stage presence, he’s long been a respected figure in K-rock circles.
Jungmo entered the music industry in 2004 with TRAX and collaborated in the project duo Kim Heechul & Kim Jungmo. As a solo artist, producer, and one of Korea’s elite guitarists, Jungmo has built a solid reputation for his musicianship and versatility.
Their collaboration under the banner of 20th Century Boy’z signals a promising chapter in Korean rock, uniting fanbases and musical traditions to ignite new energy. Fans will get to experience their debut live on June 24 at SA Hall in Daehak-ro, Seoul.
