Lee Jung-ha Showcases Mature New Look Ahead of Disney+ Action Drama ‘ONE: High School Heroes’

K-drama actor Lee Jung-ha stuns in new profile photos and takes on action role in ONE High School Heroes

South Korean rising star Lee Jung-ha is stepping into a bolder spotlight with his newly released profile photos and an edgy role in the upcoming wavve original drama ‘ONE: High School Heroes’, set for release on May 30.

On May 22, Namoo Actors, Lee’s agency, unveiled a new set of profile images, stunning fans with the actor’s evolved charisma. Dressed in sleek black-and-white styling, Lee radiates a dandy charm that subtly echoes his matured essence. His signature clear, intense gaze captivates, effortlessly balancing softness with strength, hinting at the emotional depth he brings to his roles.

Debuting in 2017 through the web drama ‘Heart Attack Warning’, Lee Jung-ha built his foundation with a series of web-based series before gaining critical acclaim in major K-dramas like ‘Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung’, ‘Run On’, and ‘Nevertheless’. His portrayal of warm and pure-hearted characters earned him a place in the audience’s hearts.

In 2023, Lee’s breakout performance in the Disney+ original ‘Moving’ elevated his reputation. His seamless embodiment of his webtoon counterpart was met with praise, leading to Best New Actor awards at the prestigious 60th Baeksang Arts Awards and the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards.

As anticipation builds, Lee is now set to break new ground in ‘ONE: High School Heroes’. The action-packed high school drama explores the volatile world of student hierarchies and hidden rage. Lee plays Ui-gyeom, a top-ranked student oppressed by his father, who joins forces with Yoon-ki (played by Kim Do-wan) to form the masked vigilante group “High School Heroes.” Together, they challenge the school’s violent power dynamics through adrenaline-charged justice.

This marks a significant departure from Lee’s previous roles. His innocent smile is replaced by a stark, hollow gaze paired with raw action sequences. It’s a clear evolution in his acting journey — one that fans and critics alike are eager to witness.

‘ONE: High School Heroes’ will be exclusively available on wavve starting Friday, May 30.
